The Bayeux Tapestry (sort of)
Nearly a thousand years ago, a group of women sat down together to make the Bayeux Tapestry with linen, coloured wool, and a great many stitches.
Our book begins there.
The Tapestry
The first part introduces the original Bayeux Tapestry, how it was made, and enough of the story behind 1066 to understand what is going on.
Kings, ships, soldiers, journeys across the sea, a comet, a battle, and two men who both wanted the English throne.
The Hoppits
Albert and the Hoppits enter the Tapestry's world.
They look closely, get involved, and make something rather different of it.
Things do not always proceed as expected.
Your Turn
The pages are made to be coloured, cut out, and joined together to make a long paper 'tapestry' of your own.
The Bayeux Tapestry (sort of) is currently in development.
